Midland Classical Academy is a K–12 classical school in Midland, Texas, built on a partnership between the school and its families.
the challenge
MCA's website was 13 years old. It had to serve two very different audiences: the administration running the school, and the parents and families relying on it. It wasn't serving either one well.
what we did
We started inside the school, working with the staff to understand their internal needs before designing anything. From there we redesigned and re-messaged the site around resources for both administrators and parents.
We built a robust resource library and event calendar with a clean API connection to the school's Microsoft account. The administrative team manages events right from Microsoft, and the website stays current on its own.
Then we integrated the Claude API into the site's search, creating a search agent that answers families' questions dynamically and in context, from admissions to school hours to how the family partnership works.
